The value of an investment with St. James’s Place will be directly linked to the performance of the funds you select and the value can therefore go down as well as up. You may get back less than you invested

The levels and bases of taxation and reliefs from taxation can change at any time. The value of any tax relief depends on individual circumstances.

St. James’s Place’s carefully constructed, risk-rated portfolios enable you to spread your investments across a wide range of global asset types and choose fund managers with different investment styles to create a balanced and diversified investment solution. We recognise that choosing how to invest your money can seem daunting. We have created risk-related Growth and Income Portfolios from our range of funds, designed to help investors achieve their financial planning strategies and objectives.

Growth Portfolios
Our Growth Portfolios are designed for investors aiming to build up the value of their wealth and achieve capital growth over the medium to long term, for example those investing for the future, investing for retirement or investing to pay future school or university fees.

Income Portfolios
Our Income Portfolios aim to generate an attractive and sustainable level of income. These Portfolios may be appropriate for investors who are looking to generate additional income for retirement. There are three Income Portfolios, with differing levels of risk. The higher risk Portfolios will not necessarily provide a higher level of income, but they have greater potential for rising income and capital growth over the medium to long term.

The value of an investment with St. James’s Place will be directly linked to the performance of the funds selected and may fall as well as rise. You may get back less than the amount invested.

Since being introduced in 1999, ISAs have proved one of the most popular and tax-efficient ways to save and invest for the future. In his March 2014 Budget, the Chancellor sprung a welcome surprise when he announced sweeping changes to ISA regulations, designed to encourage people to save more by offering bigger tax breaks and greater flexibility.

The ISA allowance remained at £20,000 for the tax year 2018/19 and the changes from July 2014 now allow full flexibility in the use of cash and investments within the overall annual limit. Over £269 billion is deposited in Cash ISAs¹, yet the average account is paying interest of just 0.55%.²

St. James’s Place draw on the expertise of some of the world’s top investment professionals to manage our ISA funds, and match the risks you are prepared to take with a well-diversified and balanced portfolio to create an appropriate strategy to aim for income or capital growth. Through regular reviews we adjust the mix to reflect changing needs and markets.

Before investing in a Unit Trust via an ISA, it is important that you read our Key Investor Information Documents and Supplementary Information Document.

An investment into a Stocks and Shares ISA will not provide the security of capital associated with a Cash ISA. The favourable tax treatment given to ISAs is subject to changes in legislation and may not be maintained in the future.

The value of an investment with St. James’s Place will be directly linked to the performance of funds you select and the value can therefore go down as well as up. You may get back less than you invested.

Rowan Dartington is the discretionary fund management and stockbroking arm of St. James’s Place, and provides a range of additional, complementary wealth management services.

Working together with Rowan Dartington, we can create and manage a bespoke share portfolio designed to match your risk profile and meet specific investment needs or preferences.

The range of services also includes facilities for those who want to realise proceeds from shareholdings, perhaps for reinvestment into alternative tax-advantaged and professionally managed investment solutions. The value of an investment through Rowan Dartington and any income generated may fall as well as rise. You may get back less than the amount invested.

The levels and bases of taxation, and reliefs from taxation, can change at any time and are dependent on individual circumstances.

Offshore investments are often an attractive option to people where a parent has provided capital to a minor, or for those who can expect their marginal rate of tax to fall. They are also of benefit to investors entitled to an age related allowance, or expatriates investing while non-resident.

We can offer a range of offshore solutions via a range of international investments designed for investors wanting to invest regularly or as a one-off lump sum into a range of asset classes and currencies.

These investments are set up to:

  • Maximise growth prospects
  • Spread risk
  • Offer a range of carefully selected and monitored Investment Managers
  • Give you the option of a regular and predictable ‘income’
  • Allow you to switch between funds easily
  • Reduce your personal liability to Income and Capital Gains Taxes
